Walk & Talk Counseling, Consultation & Wellness Sessions

The journey back to being you, may be a sandy one.

 

Walk and Talk counseling, consultation and wellness (CCW) sessions foster all of the benefits of therapeutic techniques used in traditional sessions while facilitating in session  integration of mindful awareness in body-oriented therapy (MABT), cognitive behavioral techniques, biophysiology, and ecopsychology principles and techniques, and oh yea… movement.

These sessions are held outdoors, in order to reap the full benefits from techniques and strategies. Then more familiar side-by-side conversational interaction combined with nature-centered movement, coping technique, breath work, grounding, and body/mind awareness moments create a recipe for a more holistic and effective experience for many.

How does it work?

We cannot separate the mind from the body.  The body benefits from the good we do in the mind as much as the mind benefits from the good we do in the body.  Engaging the mind and body together allows the body to take an increased role in the growth and healing process while reducing distractions common to many.

Each experience is customized for each client, to meet their unique goals. This experience is not a workout, so each individual can set their own pace, and we will be right there with you.

Where does it take place?

Walk and Talk CCW may take place:

  • on Chix Beach
  • The Brock Environmental Center trails
  • a neighborhood nearby the office
  • Seashore State Park trails, or
  • another agreed upon location.

If you would like Rigatoni, our therapy dog in training or your dog to join your session, please discuss that with your provider.  Our goal is your progress.
